Permanent makeup?

Wednesday, 21. July 2010

Have you had any permanent makeup put on you? What have you had done? How do you like it?
I have eyebrow, eyeliner and full lip color tattooing and I love it. Of course I did it all myself so I knew it would be good. Also, I have been doing this for a long time so I have seen a lot of good and bad in this industry. There are key elements here – if you are young in particular, you have to be very conservative in this. First, because most of it stays forever so you have to be able to have some alterations down the road and next, if you have eyebrow tattooing (for instance) browns are not that stable and needs to be touched up over the years so you won’t be able to have that much ink over and over again in one place. You need to choose someone extremely talented – be sure the photos you are looking at on their websites or in their portfolio are their own and not stock photos purchased – there is a lot of that going around. Be sure you LIKE the work and feel comfortable and safe with this person. Never get this done is someone’s house or a nail salon – that is just unethical. Can You Use Regular Tattoo Ink For Permanent Makeup?

Tuesday, 20. July 2010

Is there a difference between the pigments? Why can’t tattoo ink be used for permanent makeup?
Sure but it might look like crap. Anyone that gets permanent makeup is making a mistake, I don’t like a lot of makeup on women and I actually prefer none at all. If you get permanent makeup via tattooing, and then sometime down the road change your mind, it will be ten times harder to get it removed than a regular tatoo because of the proximity of your eyes. Think about it. Just use the temp stuff and when you’re alone you can wash it all off and just be yourself. ps: I don’t mind a classy tattoo, I have a few myself.

Spoken from the heart of someone who has no idea of the time, effort and money spent on makeup so women can feel beautiful and look good for those they encounter. Even this person who has absolutely no idea what he is talking about!

how can i know if a permanent makeup artist is authorized?

Sunday, 18. July 2010

the internet can lie , licenses can be fake so how can i know for sure if someone has full capacity and proper training to do a permanent makeup procedure?
you can call the state board of licensure to verify that person has a license. In some states that license is issued thru the state health department, so you can also inquire for verification of licensure there as well.

Check their work! Get live testimonials, ask questions and above all else be comfortable with them. Certifications like CPCP and the like are very important to verify!

Is permanent Makeup safe? ?

Sunday, 2. May 2010

I’m interested in possibly getting my eyebrows and eyeliner done with permanent makeup, and wanted to get some experienced opinions on it. Is it safe? (especially the eyeliner, I’m worried about a slip of a hand!!) How does it look as you age and your face/skin changes? Where are the best places in the Vancouver area to go? Thanks in advance for your help!

I have the eyeliner done on my upper lids and I love it! I wouldn’t get eyebrows, I hate that draw-on look. I had a very experienced nurse that is an RN CPE, and other licensed degrees. She has certification in the procedures and my mom and grandma have also went to her. There is no way the hand can slip. The lady that did mine put on a little numbing cream first then did the eyeliner. It looks just like eyeliner would. I had her do a very thin brown/black line that was in my eyelash line and a teenie bit above. I absolutely love it! Here is a picture of my eyes for you to see my results http://s167.photobucket.com/albums/u143/blondengaffing/?action=view¤t=eyesagain.jpg

How badly does permanent makeup hurt to apply?

Saturday, 1. May 2010

I’ve got a weird birthmark about an inch below/to the right of my right eye. It’s like a little red starburst looking thing. But because it’s red, people always think it’s a zit and makeup never seems to cover it well. I’d like to just have a mole tattooed over it. A little dot of brownish black. Or blackish brown. That’s all. I’ve got plenty of tattoos on my arms, back, legs, neck, wrists, hips, etc., but facial tattoos sort of terrify me. Is the pain bad? How much would it cost me for just the little dot? Any good places anyone can recommend in L.A.? GOOD, SAFE, HEALTHY, CERTIFIED places? Thanks, guys!
I am from the UK so cannot tell you any places to go to unfortunately! However, I can tell you that my friend had permanent makeup done-eyeliner and eyebrows and she lookd like she had had her eyes punched for at least a week after! xx

That is a tragic tale and what your asking to have done is a very simple process that can be accommodated by any qualified and experienced permanent makeup artist! Good Luck and don’t listen to those who have only something negative to say.
