Permanent makeup?

Have you had any permanent makeup put on you? What have you had done? How do you like it?
I have eyebrow, eyeliner and full lip color tattooing and I love it. Of course I did it all myself so I knew it would be good. Also, I have been doing this for a long time so I have seen a lot of good and bad in this industry. There are key elements here – if you are young in particular, you have to be very conservative in this. First, because most of it stays forever so you have to be able to have some alterations down the road and next, if you have eyebrow tattooing (for instance) browns are not that stable and needs to be touched up over the years so you won’t be able to have that much ink over and over again in one place. You need to choose someone extremely talented – be sure the photos you are looking at on their websites or in their portfolio are their own and not stock photos purchased – there is a lot of that going around. Be sure you LIKE the work and feel comfortable and safe with this person. Never get this done is someone’s house or a nail salon – that is just unethical. 1. I have not had it done. A co-worker had it done and regretted it…not a good outcome. It was not well done and didn’t accentuate her looks. Besides, makeup fashion changes through the years. What is fresh and new now might be just awful in 10-20 years.

  4. I have never had that done, however, I know several that have. A friend of mine has permanent eyebrows, and I would have NEVER known. I also know of someone with lip liner and eyeliner. Both of them are happy with the outcome.
Prior to choosing to do so, i would strongly suggest considering the idea, and the long term results. Both people I know had highly recommended professionals apply theirs. Check, Check again, and when you are sure you have chosen the right person to carry out the procedure, Check into them even more. This is an enormous decision, it is on your face, and permanent (many years anyway).
Once you have chosen somewhere to carry out the procedure, ask them if you can stop in and observe while they apply makeup to someone else. In most cases, that is not a problem.
Also, experiment with lots of colors of wash off makeup prior to having it done, you may decide that you like the idea of being able to change occasionally even if it is just once a month or so.
    Good Luck!
