What’s the best laser skin resurfacing treatment?

Hello , I really need to strip away the layers of my skin, as there damaged through heat and sunburn, and burning through stuffy humid air in general, I’m 20 but over the last 6 moths various mishaps made my white skin go yellow and red under layer of damaged skin. Just wondeering what’s the best for removing many layers of skin. I hear fraxel has many problems like people coming out worse than they went in hyperpigmentation etc. So was wondering what’s the best most effective and most safest, fraxel, pearl, c02, eribium or some other treatment though laser or not, but not some weak little facial that’s not gonin 2 make a huge differenec, Is fraxel ok or what”?
The newer one is profractional laser and it doesn’t work better then fraxel.

It truly depends on exactly what needs to be properly corrected. In your case it sounds as if the Laser 360 would benefit you from a complete laser skin resurfacing approach. However, you should consult with a professional and certified laser technitian prior to receiving any treatments. FYI – Pixel Laser is an absolutely amazing skin rejuvenation treatment. Has anyone had (facial) laser resurfacing done?

How long did it last before you thought about getting more procedures? What kind of compliments have you gotten? How long did it take for your skin’s redness to fade? How painful was it? Would you do it all over again…was it worth it? Do you or someone you know have any long-term side effects from it?
Yes, I did a few years ago. When I first had it done, I didn’t really see that much improvement, but other people commented that my skin was ‘immaculate’ lol. The redness took a couple of months to reside completely. It wasn’t that painful, just a bit uncomfortable for the first few days after. I guess the only painful part was trying to clean my skin, but apart from that it was fine. Overall, my skin was smoother, with increased elasticity and a more even skin tone. I’m probably going to have a TCA peel next time, as it is less expensive and has less downtime. HTH : )

Great News about your Laser Skin Resurfacing experience and I am Thrilled You Received Favorable Results!

pixel laser resurfacing and tretinoin cream?

Posted by admin on Jul 13, 2010 under Laser Skin Resurfacing, laser skin tightening, new york medispa

i have taken an pixel laser resurphasing treatment of a scar on my upper lip(below nose). before pixel treatment i have used tretinoin for several months (melalong). now even after 7 days my skin is not healing properly. whaen crusting get shed new crusting develops again and again. what should i do now?
Call the person who treated you because it sounds like your skin has been burned and whoever performed the laser resurfacing(hopefully an experienced dermatologist)will need to observe the problem and determine the next course of action.I really cant urge you enough to seek medical treatment from a licensed doctor that has successfully treated several people you know personally..You don’t want to cut corners with this, Good luck!

It’s not the Pixel Laser. You must consult with a qualified skin care professional immediately. This is not normal and needs attention to ensure no infection sets in from the reaction.

Pixel laser acne treatment?

Posted by admin on Jul 9, 2010 under Laser Skin Resurfacing

I’m 25 years old, & have suffered with mild/moderate acne for about 8 to 9 years now. I recently went to see a dermologist at the private clinic in manchester that suggested using a new pixel laser treatment on my acne. That would kill the bacteria that was causing the breakouts, as well as treating any scars i had. My only concern really is the cost of £1,200. I’m also worried what the results will be. Anyone had this procedure, and give me any advice please?

Ask at the clinic for them to put you in contact with someone who has had the treatment so that you can discuss the results. Look around for other clinics as well, and definitely ask for a second opinion from another dermatologist or even from a family doctor you trust.

Which LASER is better for acne scars: Pixel, Fraxel, Active FX?

Posted by admin on Jul 4, 2010 under Laser Skin Resurfacing

How many sessions are necessary?

Fraxel is probably the most effective but what is even more important is who is utilizing the technology. You may want to go to a consultation with someone who offers multiple technolgies so that they are just pushing the technology in their office.

The attached site has more information and provider options.

Can anyone tell me the difference between Pixel and Fraxel?

Is laser treatment good for acne scar removal?

Posted by admin on Jul 1, 2010 under Laser Skin Resurfacing

My girlfriend is considering getting pixel laser treatment to remove some minor acne scarring that she has on her face. I don’t know much about it and I would like to know more before she signs up for the treatment. What about the side affects? I have read that your face looks very burned afterwards.

I have had my face laser resurfaced twice and it has improved my acne scarring by about 50%. You should go and see a dermatologist to get more information about it.

I want to pamper myself at a spa for the week on a budget.

Is it cheaper to go with someone or alone? I am flexiable on dates so what is the best time of year to travel to a spa?
You can try going to one of the spa’s at Disney. They have the Saratoga Springs Spa and the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. You may get more options if you post this somewhere other than Orlando travel section.

Brown Spots – Laser Treatment

Posted by admin on Jun 14, 2010 under Laser Skin Resurfacing

Dr. Melanie Grossman discusses using laser to remove brown spots from the skin. http://www.agespots.net/removal.aspx

Age spots should actually be referred to as sun spots since age has little to do with the formation of these pigmentations. Brown spots are usually easily treated by laser, often only requiring a single treatment to remove the spot.

Facelift, Botox, Laser Skin Resurfacing, Cosmetic Injectable Fillers

Posted by admin on Jun 13, 2010 under Laser Skin Resurfacing, botox, laser hair removal, laser skin tightening

For a consultation, call 888.931.3366 or visit http://www.epione.com/ There are non-surgical options for people who want to look younger. Epione of Beverly Hills can help, with fillers. Injectable Fillers are fillers that are used to eliminate deep wrinkles, and enhance the shape of the lips. Injectable filler is introduced just under the skin’s surface through a very fine needle. It is injected at intervals along the line until the right amount of correction has been achieved. The treated area is then massaged gently to smooth the surface.

The non-surgical “quick lift” and laser skin resurfacing is available at Pretty Face Medi Spa! Call 914.788.9790 for a free consultation or visit our website at www.prettyfacemedispa.com today!

How can I get better skin?

Posted by admin on Jun 9, 2010 under Laser Skin Resurfacing

Okay, so my skin looks so tired and dull. Like I have different skin color next to my nose are than I have in my cheeks and I have different color on my cheeks than on my forehead. And on my forehead I have these small red dots (they are not big t all, but the are gross) what are those? And my cheeks are kind of red and white. and my skin is very loose. I have heard of something called "LASER RESURFACING", can I get that on my face and what would be the cost for the whole face and forehead? Would it fix my problem? anything else I could do? And I don’t have a bad diet at all. When I wake up I eat 1 apple, alot of carrots, melons, cucumber and blueberry and other fruits and berries and I drink like 4-6 glasses of water each day and I take multivitamin pills and pills called "hair, nails and skin". lol I might be a little feminine, but I know people who are really unhealthy and healthy, and the unhealthy people still have much better skin than me even if they eat like chips and candies every day, while I barely eat candies 1 time a week. any suggestions? Thanks in advance and appreciate all answers, even dumb ones ;) but good ones would also be nice =)

I would look into getting a photofacial. This will help as far as evening out your complexion. Glycolic acid peels can help. YOu will need to get a series of these peels to start to notice a difference. I pay $50 per peel. As far as "loose skin" how old are you? There are skin tightening procedures such as Titan and others. You need to go to a medical skin care spa. They can help you with all of your problems. Some will offer packaged deals and discounts. There is Fraxel that you can consider. The skin tightening procedures can be expensive and priced differently depending on where you live. Oh and the small red dots are called Petechiae, which actually is a broken capillaries. You might want to mention this to your doc when you see him or her next.

Skin resurfacing recommendation anyone?

Posted by admin on Jun 4, 2010 under Laser Skin Resurfacing

I’ve tried everything fromn Proactive, to over the counter scrubs and had a nasty reaction to birth control pills (the hormones give me NASTY migraines; but the skin did clear up!). Anyways, I do wash my face, but I have blotches and little pimple marks all over my face. The dr said I’m not as bad as he’s seen other’s, but still I’d like to have clear skin for once in my life!

I’ve been reading about microdermabrasion, but heard it doesn’t clear up everything. Then I read about getting a mild micropeel which sounds much better. What about laser treatment? Any info from someone who’s gotten skin resurfacing or something similiar would be of great help. Or at least someone who works in the dermatology area would be awesome too.

I had laser resurfacing done on my face in 2001. It’s the best thing I have ever done. My face is smooth, free of age spots and is definitely tighter. Think instant face lift. I am 51 and look in my early 40’s. Make sure the plastic surgeon is very experienced in this field. You would not want scarring. My skin was on the dry side, I might note. My daughter got a prescription from a dermatologist for her pimples and she rubs on the cream at the first sign of an outbreak and has had a clear face for over a year now. Her skin is oily. Good luck!

im 41 years old and have these sun spots or dark brown patches on my skin…how do i get rid of them?

Posted by admin on Jun 3, 2010 under Laser Skin Resurfacing

I bought the skin brightening gel and some other product by neostrata. Isnt doing anything! Does anyone know of a product that works? I know there is a product by clinique but its $40.00 a tiiny tube. Am i looking at going to a skin clinic to maybe do some laser or skin resurfacing or whatever it is they do? Please let me know what worked and how much it cost even if it means going to a skin specialist or cosmetic skin doctor.

Before going to a dermatologist, try getting microdermabrasion. Not all places will do it on areas other than the face, call around to find out. If after a few treatments, you see no improvement at all, you are probably looking at laser resurfacing, which can cost from the high hundreds into the thousands. It depends on where you are and who you go to. I’ve had three microderm treatments, and it helped reduce scars on my face. But it didn’t remove them entirely. Your best bet is to go to a medical esthetician at a spa, and ask what your options are for your particular condtion. They’ll point you in the right direction after examining your skin.

What’s best to get rid of Acne scaring?

Posted by admin on Jun 2, 2010 under Laser Skin Resurfacing

Microdermabrasion or Laser Skin Resurfacing?

Both require multiple treatments and are equally a bit pricey. From your experiences .. which would be best?

laser is 2-3 times more expensive than microdermabrasion. laser works on deeper acne scars, while microderma wqorks only on superficial scars. microderma is less complicated and you can have it virtually anywhere with no recovery time, laser is safely performed in medical facilities and high end beauty salons.
i’ve had both and i prefer microdermabrasion, but then again, i had no deep scars on my face. you should talk to a specialist and see what your skin condition requires.
good luck.
