I only read the cover yesterday.Demi Moore spent $470.000 on cosmetic surgery ?

Wow.. if she really did that.. then she has more money to spent on looking good than others have on buying one house.. I only read a cover yesterday where both Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston admit they had Botox.. and some minor cosmetic surgery…Meg Ryan had a massive surgery which went wrong.. and Paula Abdul had her wrinkles under her eyes removed.. she really looks 10 years younger now.. she had quite a lot of wrinkles.. but Demi Moore, so the paper tops them all with $ 470.000 spent on liposuction, botox, cellulite removal etc.. and it only came to my mind to look at the magazine because we are the same age.. she will be 46 on Nov. 12th and she is thus 4 days older than me.. No I can’t compete with her.. but I would never consider to spend any money on cosmetic surgery.. and not even if I had the money.. because one can keep age at bay.. but not forever.. and if it’s not the real thing and all is done through cosmetic surgery I am not too impressed either.. I much prefer those actresses who still look great for their age and had nothing or almost nothing done.. Most will have had at least Botox by age 35… I am sure Victoria Beckham did.. and of course she had the breast implants…but because David, her husband is now playing for Italy.. for a short while.. they move over to italy during the time he plays for Milan .. they will get several millions payed just for being willing to let the paparazzi make a film ”A day in the life of the Beckhams.. that will give them several million dollars worth of money for the move to Milan…Isn’t it nice to earn money in your sleep .. almost.. just because they are famous they get a lot more money coming their way… I guess I will miss out on watching that.. it’s pathetic to get paid to show of how you live.. Nobody would be interested if they were not celebs..

The only smart thing about Sarah Palin is that she spends a lot more money on outfits and hair styles rather than have cosmetic surgery for the same amount (at least as far as I know).
I don´t understand why I would want to have an operation when I´m not sick. Among Hollywood actors plastic surgery has been common since the 1940s. But I have yet to see an actress who actually looks younger after cosmetic surgery. You always notice they had something done and they automatically appear older than they are.

Isn´t the aim of cosmetic surgery to sustain a young and natural look? If it is most surgeons on this field are complete failures.

And Demi Moore – I don´t know… Her rubber ball breasts alone look ridiculous. I´d rather buy a house for almost 500,000$ than have my body modified let alone my face.
Younger actresses who use too much Botox look like mummies – I mean, Nicole Kidman has to lift one leg if she wants to smile.

I understand there are many reasons why someone would choose to have cosmetic surgery because they really feel miserable about something. But I don´t think that´s the case with all these celebs.

What’s the best laser skin resurfacing treatment?

Hello , I really need to strip away the layers of my skin, as there damaged through heat and sunburn, and burning through stuffy humid air in general, I’m 20 but over the last 6 moths various mishaps made my white skin go yellow and red under layer of damaged skin. Just wondeering what’s the best for removing many layers of skin. I hear fraxel has many problems like people coming out worse than they went in hyperpigmentation etc. So was wondering what’s the best most effective and most safest, fraxel, pearl, c02, eribium or some other treatment though laser or not, but not some weak little facial that’s not gonin 2 make a huge differenec, Is fraxel ok or what”?
The newer one is profractional laser and it doesn’t work better then fraxel.

I know the microdermabrasion reduces fine lines on your face but what about chemical peels and laser skin resurfacing ? Which is the longest lasting procedure and also do any of them tighten the skin a little in the process ? Also is there much difference in the cost ?

Has anyone had (facial) laser resurfacing done?

How long did it last before you thought about getting more procedures? What kind of compliments have you gotten? How long did it take for your skin’s redness to fade? How painful was it? Would you do it all over again…was it worth it? Do you or someone you know have any long-term side effects from it?
Yes, I did a few years ago. When I first had it done, I didn’t really see that much improvement, but other people commented that my skin was ‘immaculate’ lol. The redness took a couple of months to reside completely. It wasn’t that painful, just a bit uncomfortable for the first few days after. I guess the only painful part was trying to clean my skin, but apart from that it was fine. Overall, my skin was smoother, with increased elasticity and a more even skin tone. I’m probably going to have a TCA peel next time, as it is less expensive and has less downtime. HTH : )

What’s the difference between FRAXEL & PIXEL resurfacing?

I have frekles spots on my face, which treatment is more suitable. If anyone can tell me also the difference on the technical or medical approach and their after treatment medication and the length of effectiveness of fraxel and pixel treatment.

Have you had any permanent makeup put on you? What have you had done? How do you like it?
I have eyebrow, eyeliner and full lip color tattooing and I love it. Of course I did it all myself so I knew it would be good. Also, I have been doing this for a long time so I have seen a lot of good and bad in this industry. There are key elements here – if you are young in particular, you have to be very conservative in this. First, because most of it stays forever so you have to be able to have some alterations down the road and next, if you have eyebrow tattooing (for instance) browns are not that stable and needs to be touched up over the years so you won’t be able to have that much ink over and over again in one place. You need to choose someone extremely talented – be sure the photos you are looking at on their websites or in their portfolio are their own and not stock photos purchased – there is a lot of that going around. Be sure you LIKE the work and feel comfortable and safe with this person. Never get this done is someone’s house or a nail salon – that is just unethical. Can You Use Regular Tattoo Ink For Permanent Makeup?

Is there a difference between the pigments? Why can’t tattoo ink be used for permanent makeup?
Sure but it might look like crap. Anyone that gets permanent makeup is making a mistake, I don’t like a lot of makeup on women and I actually prefer none at all. If you get permanent makeup via tattooing, and then sometime down the road change your mind, it will be ten times harder to get it removed than a regular tatoo because of the proximity of your eyes. Think about it. Just use the temp stuff and when you’re alone you can wash it all off and just be yourself. ps: I don’t mind a classy tattoo, I have a few myself.

What is a credible website for permanent makeup info?

how can i know if a permanent makeup artist is authorized?

the internet can lie , licenses can be fake so how can i know for sure if someone has full capacity and proper training to do a permanent makeup procedure?
you can call the state board of licensure to verify that person has a license. In some states that license is issued thru the state health department, so you can also inquire for verification of licensure there as well.

Check their work! Get live testimonials, ask questions and above all else be comfortable with them. Certifications like CPCP and the like are very important to verify!

pixel laser resurfacing and tretinoin cream?

i have taken an pixel laser resurphasing treatment of a scar on my upper lip(below nose). before pixel treatment i have used tretinoin for several months (melalong). now even after 7 days my skin is not healing properly. whaen crusting get shed new crusting develops again and again. what should i do now?
Call the person who treated you because it sounds like your skin has been burned and whoever performed the laser resurfacing(hopefully an experienced dermatologist)will need to observe the problem and determine the next course of action.I really cant urge you enough to seek medical treatment from a licensed doctor that has successfully treated several people you know personally..You don’t want to cut corners with this, Good luck!

Pixel laser acne treatment?

I’m 25 years old, & have suffered with mild/moderate acne for about 8 to 9 years now. I recently went to see a dermologist at the private clinic in manchester that suggested using a new pixel laser treatment on my acne. That would kill the bacteria that was causing the breakouts, as well as treating any scars i had. My only concern really is the cost of £1,200. I’m also worried what the results will be. Anyone had this procedure, and give me any advice please?

Ask at the clinic for them to put you in contact with someone who has had the treatment so that you can discuss the results. Look around for other clinics as well, and definitely ask for a second opinion from another dermatologist or even from a family doctor you trust.

Bikini laser hair removal?

I’ve had 2 treatments of bikini laser hair removal, then I didn’t go back for the rest of the treatments. Now I want to finish the rest of treatments, and it’s been over a year. Will I have to start treatments all over again or can I just continue?

You will just continue, the hairs the were destroyed will never grow back again. The intervals between sessions doesn’t matter as long as it’s at least 6 or 8 weeks apart.

Here’s my experiences with it in case it helps you any

Okay… science answer:

You grow in at least 80% of your hair during puberty. When you have laser hair removal the hairs it kills will never grow again. But you still have up to 20% of your normal thickness that will grow in throughout the rest of your life. So people get touch up sessions every 3-5 years after their big 6 treatments. You need about 6 treatments, one each 2 months for a year, because the hair grows in different stages and it can only kill hair in the active growth stage. The laser works by targeting dark color (the hair follicle) and passing through light color (the skin) the hair and skin have to be very different shades of color for the hair to work. It burns the dark color disabling the hair follicle so hair cannot grow from it again. The darker and coarser the hair and lighter the skin, the better results you will have.

Okay… Personal Experience:

I’ve had 4 out of my 6 treatments so far. It HURTS! It’s like being poked with a sewing needle over and over, but it’s not as painful as a tattoo, and that’s not as painful as childbirth, maybe that can put the pain in perspective for you =) I’ve had my legs, underarms, and bikini area done. When you get your bikini area done they do ALL of it! Including spreading your butt and vaginal lips apart to laser all the cracks… It’s sorta awkward. After the 4 treatments I’ve had so far I’ve lost about 80% of leg hair, 80% bikini hair, and 80% underarms hair. But the legs are the most painful. The more it hurts the better it works. I have only a few hairs left around my ankles but every time the ankles hurt the worst for me.
I spent this much for 6 treatments in each area:
Bikini-$750
Underarms-$750
Legs (toes to bikini)-$2,500

I am looking to get laser hair removal on my bikini line. I’m looking to go as far as bikini line all the way to brasil (if you get what I’m saying) I was wondering what an estimate cost would be, and what the hair removal procedure is like?

The cost will be around $200 to $300 per treatments and you will need 4-6 treatments. The procedure hurts a bit but is very bearable. Just make sure you go to a reputable provider.
