have you tried laser skin resurfacing yet?

Posted by admin on Dec 24, 2009 under laser skin tightening

i just had the first of 4 treatments done on thursday. you have to go without makeup for 72 hours, can’t work out for about the same length of time. it was like a really bad sunburn, but not that painful. right now (72 hours later) my skin just feels dry, but i think it’s because i haven’t used moisturizer yet. they don’t want you to put anything on your skin for a few days because your skin has tiny little holes in it from the laser. i had mine done to remove some discolored spots. so far, i think i’m happy with the results, but it will take 3 more treatments to get the full effect. i guess we’ll see in about 3 months…good luck.

Posted by admin on Dec 24, 2009 under laser skin tightening

Ill be honest, ive never had skin resurfacing, but I have had laser surgery to remove some of my surgery scars. One of my scars is completely invisible now and the other one is barely visible. I definately recommend it to anyone.

Pixel Animation RX Skin Clinic

Posted by admin on Dec 13, 2009 under laser skin tightening

What is Pixel technology?

Pixel is the next generation of laser skin resurfacing that helps to improve skin texture, tone and firmness, smoothes wrinkles, and reduces pore size and scars (including acne scars) without the downtime and discomfort associated with other resurfacing lasers. This FDA-approved treatment represents the best of both worlds for skin resurfacing: it combines the proven effectiveness of an ablative approach with the client comfort level and convenience of a non-ablative approach.
How it works
Pixel skin resurfacing is based on the principle of micro-thermal treatment zones:
The laser pulses create tiny holes in the skin, removing the epidermis and upper dermis.
The treatment then triggers the bodys natural healing process, stimulating the growth of new, healthy skin tissue.
The procedure treats small zones of the skin, leaving surrounding tissue untouched and intact.
The result is new, healthier, smoother tissue in place of skin imperfections.
Pixel Technology can be used on the face, neck, chest, arms and hands. The Pixel is especially useful for treating the neck and chest. These areas are not easily treated with traditional skin resurfacing lasers without high probability of injury or scaring.
How does the treatment feel?

There is virtually no pain during the treatment. Afterwards the patient feels a mild to medium sun burn for a few hours or as much as a day.
How many treatments are required to receive the optimal result?

Improvement occurs after just one session, but ideally three to five sessions are required for optimal results. Treatments are spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart.

A typical treatment takes 15 to 30 minutes depending on the number of areas treated.

Results
Facial Rejuvenation.
Improves fine lines.
Tightens skin.
Reduces pores.
Removes sun damage.
Smoothes scars, including acne scars.
A glowing complexion.
Significant improvement in skin smoothness and texture.

Most patients find that pore size, color and texture all improve dramatically. This is what they are most commonly reporting to us.

We are currently investigating how the Pixel may reduce stretch marks. Stay tuned!

Botox, how long does it take to work?

Posted by admin on Dec 4, 2009 under botox

I had botox two days ago and I still cant see any results. Apparantly it can take up to 4 days until the results are visible, does anybody know why this is?

It takes that long for the botox to dispurse through the entire muscle that is being treated. Generally you see results in 1-2 days.

How long does botox take to work??

Posted by admin on Dec 4, 2009 under botox

Just curious, full effects and thangs.
after a couple days you will feel smoothing, full effect a week :)

Posted by admin on Dec 1, 2009 under facials

I was thinking about getting a peel done to improve the texture and look of my skin but the expense, recovery time and risks aren’t what I am looking for. Does anyone know of any facials that are similar in results to a peel or microdermabrasion?

ive had micro and after i got it done my skin looked so shiney and clear.

before my skin was so dull.

What would your occupation be if you gave facials?

Posted by admin on Dec 1, 2009 under facials

I want to do massage therapy, facials and botox, and beauty .What would you need to do to get into that? It is a mixture of everything that I like.

A massage therapist does massage therapy,

A aesthetician does facials,

A registered nurse after some training can do botox injections…

I’m not sure of your exact question because all of these are not directly related if your going to school to become all of them…

Massage therapy school can run from 6 month program to a year…after you graduate, you go and take your certification test and follow the laws in your state (every state/city has their own set of regulations to practice that you MUST follow if you plan on getting a job)

To become an Aesthetician you must complete a program that usually takes one semester (or two depending if your going full or part time) then you have to take an exam to get certified in that too.

To do minor plastic surgery like botox and restylane you must be a registered nurse first and that can take 3-4 years in a nursing program (plus the program to learn how to do it)
Because botox is the freezing of muscles in the face and you definetly do not want to be doing that if you don’t have knowledge in medicine/body…
