Semi Permanent Make-up Lip Procedures

Posted by admin on Nov 30, 2009 under permanent makeup

Its the law of nature that we cant all be blessed with full and sensual lips! But with any shape lips, as we get older, the natural skin pigments fade, and can draw colour out of the face.It is now possible, thanks to FAME®, to change the shape and shade of your mouth. Many of our clients are unhappy with thin lips, explains Debra. to restore lost definition, we line the lips very softly outside the border with the Lip Perfection Contour and Blended Contour. As well as lost definition we can create fuller and more sensual lips with out the need for frequent injectable fillers.Barely There Blush is a softly defined outline which is blended and faded about halfway into the lip area to give an amazing, natural looking pout. The Volumising Lip Tint defines the contour slightly and discretely outside the border to give an impression of fullness with a hint of colour applied to the centre of the lip for a natural looking tint.

Does Botox really get rid of your wrinkles without any side effects?

Posted by admin on Nov 28, 2009 under botox

I couldn’t believe Janice Dickenson was over 50. Just by looking at her face, she looks like a 30-something woman. I heard she had botox multiple times, which is why I assume she looks so much younger.

I heard botox only lasts less than a year. Is it true?
Is it very painful when you get a botox?
I will look forward to your answers. Thank you!

I ABSOLUTLY LOVE BOTOX !!!

MY FIRST TREATMENT WAS NERVE~WRACKING, BUT MY DOCTOR SPENT HALF AN HOUR EXPLAINING EVERYTHING TO EXPECT, I TOOK A ZANAX, THEN HE GENTLY POKED MY FOREHEAD, BETWEEN MY BROWS, AND JUST TO THE SIDES OF MY EYES ABOUT 11 TIMES WITH A LITTLE TINY NEEDLE.

IT TOOK ABOUT 2 MINUTES AND JUST A LITTLE PINCH FEEL, ABOUT $550, FOLLOWED BY ABOUT 4 MONTHS OF BEAUTIFULLY SMOOTH, COMPLETELY WRINKLE~FREE, YOUTHFUL SKIN!!! EVEN MY SMILE~LINES COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED, MY EYES BECAME MORE ALMOND SHAPED LIKE THEY USED TO BE. IN AN INSTANT, BOTOX RESTORED MY YOUTHFUL LOOK BY 10 YEARS!

AFTER 4 MONTHS, I NEEDED A FEW REFRESHER INJECTIONS, FOR ABOUT $300. I HAD NO SIDE EFFECTS, OTHER THAN A LITTLE SWELLING AT THE INJECTION SITES FOR ABOUT A DAY, THEN ABOUT 4 MORE MONTHS OF BEAUTIFUL FIRM SKIN AGAIN!

I USE RETIN~A CREAM, & A MOISTURIZER SKINCARE PROGRAM WITH SUNSCREEN EVERY DAY, AND A REALLY GOOD NIGHT CREAM TO PAMPER AND PROTECT MY SKIN. EVEN IF YOU NEVER HAVE BOTOX, YOU SHOULD DO THIS TOO!!! IT’S NEVER TOO LATE OR EARLY TO REALLY TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN. IF I HAD USED SUNSCREEN SINCE I WAS A TEEN, I WOULDN’T HAVE NEEDED BOTOX UNTIL I WAS 45.

MAKE SURE TO DO YOUR RESEARCH; THERE IS A LOT OF DETAILED INFORMATION ONLINE. WORD OF MOUTH REFERRALS ARE A GREAT WAY TO FIND A REPUTABLE DOCTOR WHEN YOU SEE A GIRLFRIEND WHO SUDDENLY LOOKS 10 YEARS YOUNGER AND HAS A BEAMING SMILE & A BEAUTIFUL GLOW! YOU SHOULD ALSO TALK IN DEPTH WITH THE DOCTOR YOU MEET ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN REALISTICALLY EXPECT, BECAUSE EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT~ DIFFERENT AGES, SKIN DAMAGE, LOCATION AND TYPES OF WRINKLES; DIFFERENT SIGNS OF AGING & DAMAGE, & DIFFERENT TREATMENTS TO HELP YOU LOOK & FEEL YOUNGER.

THEY MIGHT SUGGEST OTHER TYPES OF FILLER~TYPE INJECTIONS OF OTHER TREATMENTS, FOR BOTOX DOES HAVE IT’S LIMITATIONS. BOTOX IS ONLY USED ON THE FOREHEAD AND JUST ABOVE THE SIDES OF THE EYES (FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, FOR COSMETIC USE). IT ALSO MAKES YOUR SKIN ACTUALLY DROP, NOT TIGHTEN. I JUST GOT LUCKY WHEN THE BOTOX FROM MY FOREHEAD INJECTIONS NATURALLY MADE ITS WAY TO MY LAUGH LINES ON THE SIDES OF MY MOUTH. MOST PEOPLE NEED TO HAVE THE OTHER FILLER TREATMENTS FOR OTHER AREAS.

LOOK AT LOTS OF BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS OF THEIR OTHER CLIENTS, AND WHAT TREATMENTS THEY HAD. I AM NO EXPERT, JUST A THRILLED LOVER OF BOTOX! I CAN’T RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH~JUST FIND THE RIGHT DOCTOR!

What to do before laser hair removal appointment?

Posted by admin on Nov 28, 2009 under laser hair removal

Ok, I have an appointment Friday for some laser hair removal. Am I supposed to shave my legs like normal, or am I supposed to leave some stubble so the laser has something to zap at. I don’t want to show up unprepared either way. Thanks for the help!

I am getting it done also for the first time next Tuesday – and they told me to shave. They even said if I don’t – that’s fine, they’ll shave it for me!!

Sounds gross – but I guess that means that it should be smooth. It isn’t the actual hair that the lazer zaps – its the pigment of the hair that it detects.

Anyway – hope it works for you!

Does laser hair removal work for darker skinned people?

Posted by admin on Nov 28, 2009 under laser hair removal

I’ve heard several women with darker skin say that in the past doctors have said that the laser hair removal treatment would create light spots on their skin where the treatment took place.

Has this changed? Is it possible to get it done without damaging the pigmentation of my skin. Please site a source.

It is not like that laser hair removal work for the darker skinned people..It is quite suitable for all the people and it is quite easy but cost is high when compared to other treatment..It is not suitable for the people who have sensitive skin…It is also simple and safety way to remove the hair…

I would like laser hair removal on my face. Anyone know about this?

Posted by admin on Nov 28, 2009 under laser hair removal

I’m 43, and I’ve had a bad problem with lip and chin hair for about 8 years now………and I’m noticing the hair along my cheeks seems a thicker peach fuzz blonde than it used to be…….although the hair on my lip and chin is definitely dark brown. Anyway, I’m thinking about getting my whole face hair laser removal…..lip, chin, cheeks I’ve called a few places, and most say that they would have no problem using the laser on my lip and chin……but they might have problems with the blonde peach fuzz hair on my cheeks and sideburn area. Also, most places are quoting around $750 for lip and chin, and way over $1000 for all of it. What do you all think? Also, are there any risks with laser removal?
My wife’s aunt is a dermatologist and had this done for free. She never would have had paid for it if it wasnt’ for her aunt. But knowing what she knows now, my wife would have paid for it in a SECOND! The results were outstanding and permanent (3 years so far) It works…it REALLY works. Keep in mind it will take AT LEAST two treatments, maybe even three or four depending on your hair, the area, and thickness. Also, find a reputable dermatologist. There are very minimal risks involved, but lot of fly by night companies are doing these procedures. The risks are amplified if you go with someone that doesn’t know what they are doing. You can end up with scars and burns if you go with an amateur . You shouldn’t worry about this with a true MD. If it is an MD find out how long they have been doing it. I don’t know how it works, but the laser only “zaps” dark colors. Non-caucasians (Latinas, blacks, or other dark skinned people) may have to go through more treatments. The laser will have to be turned down as to not burn the darker skin. Some very dark skinned individuals may not be able to have the procedure done. The $750 – $1000 sounds inline with what you should pay for TOTAL removal…ie multiple sessions. That sounds pretty high for a single session. You should expect lots of red splotches and some light to moderate swelling in the treated areas for a few days. So if you have your upper lip done people at work will know you had something done the next day. It look kind of like a fresh waxing times two or three. I don’t think it is anything to be ashamed of. But if you are self-conscious about this you may want to have the procedure done on a Thurs or Friday and take a day or two off of work. It can be a little painful in some places. Not severe, but you will feel a little something. Hope that helps!

How do the wrinkles form that botox is used on? Is it elasticity?

Posted by admin on Nov 28, 2009 under botox

Hello, I have a question, now the wrinkles people use botox for, how are they formed? Dose it have something to do with skin elasticity? Or what is the reason? Any help would be great. Thanks!
Well, the wrinkles that form on your face are basically because the muscles in your face tighten and contract. Botox works by basically freezing your skin, in the areas where you would get wrinkles. For example, imagine that when you raised your eye brows, the skin above your forehead simply diddnt move. Instead, it remaines smooth and soft. Botox usually lasts for about 3 to 4 months and really isn’t that expensive.

Does Botox get rid of the crows feet wrinkles WHILE you’re smiling?

Posted by admin on Nov 28, 2009 under botox

I know Botox can get rid of crows feet wrinkles that have been formed over many years of smiling. But I don’t know if it can get rid of the wrinkles that happen WHILE you are smiling. I have no wrinkles except for when I smile. I’d like to know if Botox injections would get rid of those.
What botox does is it acts as a temporary paralysis of a particular muscle. So the Aesthetician/Physician injects the area and targets the muscles that make the crows feet and for a few months that muscle is unable to form the wrinkle. How cool is that? The injections for the most part are tolerable. Any reputable place will offer a follow-up appt with a touch-up at no charge to ensure customer satisfaction. Hope you get to try this, trust me it’s worth it.

What’s different between permanent or semipermanent makeup?

Posted by admin on Nov 27, 2009 under permanent makeup

permanent make-up is literally a tattoo. you have somebody tattoo say your eyeliner on, and once it is on it is on. the only thing that will happen is that it could fade time like a tattoo. semi permanent would be like long wearing styles of make-up like SeneGence or Revlon Colorstay. Something that stays on until you remove them with some sort of make-up remover.

Beauty & Benefits of Permanent Makeup

Posted by admin on Nov 27, 2009 under new york medispa, permanent makeup

Permanent makeup (also known as intradermal cosmetics and cosmetic tattooing) does not smear, smudge, flake or fade. It is especially beneficial for physically active people as well as those who have difficulty applying conventional makeup. Because permanent cosmetics are applied directly into the skin, they have a softer and more natural look than conventional makeup. In addition to mimicking conventional makeup for eyebrows, eyeliner, lipliner and full lip color, permanent cosmetics can also be used to hide scars and other skin imperfections.

Can I use permanent makeup to darken light birthmarks?

Posted by admin on Nov 27, 2009 under new york medispa, permanent makeup

If so where would I go for that procedure?

I have met people who have had a procedure that tattooed over Rosecea, not sure what it’s called, but it was done at a classy hair salon that also does permanent makeup, the same place where my mom got her eyebrows tattooed. You can also look on the web at Plastic Surgeon websites, they may also do that procedure.

Does Botox Work?

Posted by admin on Nov 27, 2009 under botox

I am 31 years of age and noticing slightly lines around eyes and forehead. Also brow line so thinking about getting botox. Will this benefit me and how long should it last seeing as I might catch it early? Serious answers only please

Ignore all of the myths that were previous posts.

You can look very natural with botox and it does not harm your skin. The important thing is to not overdo it and to find a good practioner who appreciates a natural look. I have had it done 3 times and the results were very good. You can expect it to last 4-6 months.

Sharing my tips on getting and maintaining beautiful skin.?

Posted by admin on Nov 27, 2009 under facials, new york medispa

Ive come across a lot of people who seem to have issues with their skin.. so here is my beauty resume.. hope it helps you too.

1. Drink more water. Everyone tells you to drink more water – 8 cups a day (approximately 2 Litres) is often the recommended amount. A vast majority of people don’t drink anywhere near this amount. Drinking water has many health benefits. Water assists with digestion, regulates body temperature and blood circulation, carries nutrients and oxygen to cells and removes wastes and toxins from the body. Water also assists with kidney function. As nutrients are absorbed more effectively and toxins are removed from the body, skin is smoother, healthier, cleaner and looks better. If you are not getting enough water in your diet, you may feel joint pain, stomach pain, back pain, be low on energy and experience mental confusion and disorientation.

2. Reduce exposure to the sun. Much of society sees a tan as a sign of beauty. The trouble with this view as that many will try to achieve this by hours spent in the sun. The problem with this approach is that it is very short-term orientated – although you skin may look good in the short term, in the future sun damage will produce the visual signs of ageing, producing wrinkles and spots – which can’t be fixed with Botox! There are many excellent fake tan products available and this should be your first choice for tanning as it will produce good results not just now, but your skin will also look good in the future.

3. Avoid Stress. Stress is a terrible thing that should be avoided wherever possible. Stress is linked to heart disease, cancer and depression. Stress also causes wrinkles and frown lines.

4. Don’t smoke. Smoking these days is a completely irrational activity, apart from the countless health problems it causes it does major damage to skin. Cigarette smoke and tar deprive the skin of oxygen and nutrients leaving it appearing dull and unhealthy. Smoking can also give skin a undesirable yellow or grey appearance. Smoking also leads to the creation of free radicals which can weaken the collagen and elastin fibres leading to premature wrinkling.

5. Get more sleep. It is estimated that on average the world’s population is sleep deprived by about an hour. Short term sleep deprivation is not necessarily a problem as the body compensates by increasing adrenaline levels, however insufficient sleep will reduce the ability of cell’s to rejuvenate, and creates dark areas around the eyes. Long term sleep deprivation can cause serious health problems.

6. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables. A diet high in minerals, vitamins and nutrients is an excellent strategy for improving the quality of skin. Vitamin A can increase the softness of skin and a balanced diet will increase overall health. Click here for some super foods.

7. Have a good cleansing routine. It is imperative that skin is kept clean and moisturized to avoid flaky dry skin, skin disorders such as acne and to increase the overall appearance of your skin. Ensure you clean, lightly exfoliate and moisturize your skin.

thanks thats really good to share that with people .. :)

how do you choose a permanent makeup artist?

Posted by admin on Nov 23, 2009 under permanent makeup

How do you go about choosing a permanent makeup artist? Since permanent makeup lasts about 5 years, one certainly doesn’t want to choose the wrong person to put it on. Price shopping is not the way to go, so just how would you quality shop? There is a national permanent makeup artist list, but what would you look for when deciding who to go to?
http://www.permanent-eyeliner.info/

First, permanent makeup does not only last 5 years – it is a tattoo and lasts forever when properly maintained. It is crucial you find someone with the proper level of skill, aesthetic value, and knowledge of infection control.

I would start at this website: www.spcp.org

You can click to your own state for a list of professional members there. Then I would make an appointment to view their portfolio and check out their studio. You don’t want to go somewhere where there is nail file dust all over..blow driers going, etc.

Tattooing should be in its own separate environment.

Make sure that what they show in their portfolio is similar to what you are looking for. You must feel comfortable and confident with this person – if not, keep moving. It is not like body art that can be hidden under clothing – we are talking about your face! It is a highly rewarding procedure or badly damaging one. Be sure your artist respects that about the industry!
