Hello , I really need to strip away the layers of my skin, as there damaged through heat and sunburn, and burning through stuffy humid air in general, I’m 20 but over the last 6 moths various mishaps made my white skin go yellow and red under layer of damaged skin. Just wondeering what’s the best for removing many layers of skin. I hear fraxel has many problems like people coming out worse than they went in hyperpigmentation etc. So was wondering what’s the best most effective and most safest, fraxel, pearl, c02, eribium or some other treatment though laser or not, but not some weak little facial that’s not gonin 2 make a huge differenec, Is fraxel ok or what”?

How long did it last before you thought about getting more procedures? What kind of compliments have you gotten? How long did it take for your skin’s redness to fade? How painful was it? Would you do it all over again…was it worth it? Do you or someone you know have any long-term side effects from it?
Yes, I did a few years ago. When I first had it done, I didn’t really see that much improvement, but other people commented that my skin was ‘immaculate’ lol. The redness took a couple of months to reside completely. It wasn’t that painful, just a bit uncomfortable for the first few days after. I guess the only painful part was trying to clean my skin, but apart from that it was fine. Overall, my skin was smoother, with increased elasticity and a more even skin tone. I’m probably going to have a TCA peel next time, as it is less expensive and has less downtime. HTH : )

Have you had any permanent makeup put on you? What have you had done? How do you like it?
I have eyebrow, eyeliner and full lip color tattooing and I love it. Of course I did it all myself so I knew it would be good. Also, I have been doing this for a long time so I have seen a lot of good and bad in this industry. There are key elements here – if you are young in particular, you have to be very conservative in this. First, because most of it stays forever so you have to be able to have some alterations down the road and next, if you have eyebrow tattooing (for instance) browns are not that stable and needs to be touched up over the years so you won’t be able to have that much ink over and over again in one place. You need to choose someone extremely talented – be sure the photos you are looking at on their websites or in their portfolio are their own and not stock photos purchased – there is a lot of that going around. Be sure you LIKE the work and feel comfortable and safe with this person. Never get this done is someone’s house or a nail salon – that is just unethical. Is there a difference between the pigments? Why can’t tattoo ink be used for permanent makeup?
Sure but it might look like crap. Anyone that gets permanent makeup is making a mistake, I don’t like a lot of makeup on women and I actually prefer none at all. If you get permanent makeup via tattooing, and then sometime down the road change your mind, it will be ten times harder to get it removed than a regular tatoo because of the proximity of your eyes. Think about it. Just use the temp stuff and when you’re alone you can wash it all off and just be yourself. ps: I don’t mind a classy tattoo, I have a few myself.

the internet can lie , licenses can be fake so how can i know for sure if someone has full capacity and proper training to do a permanent makeup procedure?
you can call the state board of licensure to verify that person has a license. In some states that license is issued thru the state health department, so you can also inquire for verification of licensure there as well.

Check their work! Get live testimonials, ask questions and above all else be comfortable with them. Certifications like CPCP and the like are very important to verify!

i have taken an pixel laser resurphasing treatment of a scar on my upper lip(below nose). before pixel treatment i have used tretinoin for several months (melalong). now even after 7 days my skin is not healing properly. whaen crusting get shed new crusting develops again and again. what should i do now?
Call the person who treated you because it sounds like your skin has been burned and whoever performed the laser resurfacing(hopefully an experienced dermatologist)will need to observe the problem and determine the next course of action.I really cant urge you enough to seek medical treatment from a licensed doctor that has successfully treated several people you know personally..You don’t want to cut corners with this, Good luck!

I’m 25 years old, & have suffered with mild/moderate acne for about 8 to 9 years now. I recently went to see a dermologist at the private clinic in manchester that suggested using a new pixel laser treatment on my acne. I’ve had 2 treatments of bikini laser hair removal, then I didn’t go back for the rest of the treatments. Now I want to finish the rest of treatments, and it’s been over a year. Will I have to start treatments all over again or can I just continue?

You will just continue, the hairs the were destroyed will never grow back again. The intervals between sessions doesn’t matter as long as it’s at least 6 or 8 weeks apart.

Here’s my experiences with it in case it helps you any

Okay… science answer:

You grow in at least 80% of your hair during puberty. When you have laser hair removal the hairs it kills will never grow again. But you still have up to 20% of your normal thickness that will grow in throughout the rest of your life. So people get touch up sessions every 3-5 years after their big 6 treatments. You need about 6 treatments, one each 2 months for a year, because the hair grows in different stages and it can only kill hair in the active growth stage. The laser works by targeting dark color (the hair follicle) and passing through light color (the skin) the hair and skin have to be very different shades of color for the hair to work. It burns the dark color disabling the hair follicle so hair cannot grow from it again. The darker and coarser the hair and lighter the skin, the better results you will have.

Okay… Personal Experience:

I’ve had 4 out of my 6 treatments so far. It HURTS! It’s like being poked with a sewing needle over and over, but it’s not as painful as a tattoo, and that’s not as painful as childbirth, maybe that can put the pain in perspective for you =) I’ve had my legs, underarms, and bikini area done. When you get your bikini area done they do ALL of it! Including spreading your butt and vaginal lips apart to laser all the cracks… It’s sorta awkward. After the 4 treatments I’ve had so far I’ve lost about 80% of leg hair, 80% bikini hair, and 80% underarms hair. But the legs are the most painful. The more it hurts the better it works. I have only a few hairs left around my ankles but every time the ankles hurt the worst for me.
I spent this much for 6 treatments in each area:
Bikini-$750
Underarms-$750
Legs (toes to bikini)-$2,500
